A very pleasant day out and a nice change from the heat in Agadir. The drive was smooth, and I especially liked the short stop to see the goats in the argan trees, we managed to get a few funny photos. Essaouira itself felt calm and easy to walk around, with the white streets, the medina, and the old port all in one compact area. Our guide was informative without talking too much, which I appreciated. Good balance between guided time and free time.
Camille · 5/5We booked this because we wanted to see something different from the beach hotels, and it was a very nice choice. The guide took us to the Skala ramparts first, which was smart because the light was good and it was less crowded. I also liked the tea stop on the way, simple but welcome after the early pickup. The town has a relaxed feeling, and even with the market and port it never felt stressful. Everything ran on time, which I appreciate a lot.
Nadja · 5/5We had such a fun day to Essaouira, and the guide made a big difference because he was full of little local facts. My favourite part was the fishing port, seeing the men fixing nets and the wooden boats in that bright blue colour. The goats in the argan trees were funny to watch, even if everyone crowded around for photos. There was enough free time for a slow lunch and a bit of shopping in the medina. It felt relaxed all day, no pressure at all.
Sara · 5/5Overall a very good excursion and I would recommend it, but be ready for a fairly long transfer. The best part for me was walking along the Skala ramparts and seeing the Atlantic below, that was worth the journey. We also stopped for argan oil and tea on the way, which broke up the drive nicely. The guide was helpful and had good local knowledge. I only give four stars because I personally would have liked a bit more time in the market area before heading back.
Lukas · 4/5Very pleasant excursion, and our guide made it easy to follow even with a mixed group. I especially liked walking along the Skala ramparts, with the wind coming off the Atlantic and the cannons facing the water. The medina felt smaller and calmer than I imagined, which was nice for a day trip. We also stopped for tea on the way, a simple break but appreciated. Good balance between guided parts and free time, I managed to have lunch and buy a few small things before heading back.
Sophie · 5/5
